Getting to/ from campus by car

Swansea Bay and the Gower is a lovely region to explore by car. However, there is limited parking available near Singleton campus and it is quite expensive. The two carparks closest to the university are:

Travel by Bus

There are three bus companies in Swansea: FirstBus, Adventure Travel Wales and South Wales Transport. Most of the buses in Swansea city centre are FirstBus but tickets are not transferrable between companies.

First bus have recently started a “tap on/tap off” system on the buses with a contactless card, Apple Pay or equivalent. However, if you download the FirstBus app, you can get a cheaper Day ticket (£4.20 instead of £4.70). It also has a journey planner feature with live bus times.

The university is a hub and has a lot of bus connections. The main bus station is the Quadrant station in the city centre. The main buses are the 4, 4a, 92 and 91.

Adventure Travel have a number of bus routes to some of the local tourist destinations, including Rhosilli Bay (118 or 119), Brecon via the Brecon Beacons/ Bannau Brecheiniog (T6)

Travel by Bike

Swansea is a cycle-friendly city! The promenade along the coast has a cycle path that is separate from the road.
