Visits, Trips and Events

We recommend the following visits, trips and events during your stay at Swansea in addition to exploring the beach and Singleton Park (where the university is located).

Gower Pennisula

Swansea is located beside the world famous Gower Pennisula – which was the UK’s first area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. You can take a trip to see Rhossili Bay Beach and Worm’s head (so-called because it looks a bit like a dragon) by bus from Swansea bus station. The Adventure Travel bus 118 is the easiest way.

Welsh gift shopping

If you are looking for Welsh gifts, books or clothing then Siop Tŷ Tawe is the place to go. If you are staying a bit longer, then it also often has Welsh music events.
