The Centre for Literacy and Multilingualism (CeLM) at the University of Reading is delighted to announce that the 6th International Symposium on Bilingual and L2 Processing in Adults and Children (ISBPAC 2026) will be held on June 18th-19th, 2026 at the University of Reading, UK.
ISBPAC aims to bring together researchers who investigate bi-/multilingualism from various disciplines, including linguistics, cognitive science, cognitive neuroscience, multimodal communication, and language pedagogy, addressing language acquisition and processing in any domain of language, as well as the neurocognition and neurobiology of bi-/multilingualism.
Our keynote speakers will be:
Elma Blom, Utrecht University.
Edith Kaan, University of Florida and Souad Kheder, University of Algiers 2.
Kate Messenger, Lancaster University.
Denis Drieghe, University of Southampton.
We will also hold a pre-conference workshop on June 17th on Bayesian mixed-effects modelling, led by João Veríssimo, University of Lisbon.
